Tokorozawa Driving School, accredited by the Public Safety Commission since 1961, launched its international class in 2008, to cater to English-speaking residents in Japan. The school has welcomed students from diverse countries, including the Philippines, USA, UK, Indonesia, Nepal, and Nigeria, providing instruction through competent and friendly instructors.
Prospective students must pass an English Ability Test, comprising basic vocabulary and comprehension questions, with a passing score set at 80%. This complimentary 30-minute test can be scheduled at the applicant’s convenience, and immediate results facilitate prompt enrollment for successful candidates.
Enrollment requirements include being at least 18 years old, meeting specific eyesight criteria, and providing necessary identification documents such as a Certificate of Residence and a Residence Card. Applicants should also bring a name seal, if available, and any corrective eyewear needed. Upon application, a personalized lesson plan is created to accommodate the student’s schedule for both driving lessons and lectures.
